Primary Principles
There are ethical principles that we acknowledge to be fundamental to our professional practice.
8. Principle of Respect for the Dignity of Every Human Being
As healthcare professionals we recognise and commit ourselves to the respect due to the dignity and intrinsic worth of every human being from conception to death. We are committed to respect everyone entrusted to our care, without discrimination, regarding their life and well-being in all its dimensions, physcial, emotional, moral and spiritual.
9. Principle of Respect for the Family
We support the promotion of responsible parenthood and family life always respecting the intrinsic rights and obligations of spouses in the transmission of life. We acknowledge that the unity of the couple and the openness of their relationship to the transmission of life are to be respected and not separated in the integrity of their marital act.
