ART 3. - ORGANISATION
- The Guild shall be organised on a local and National basis.
- The local unit shall be the Branch. Each Branch shall have its own Branch Executive Committee consisting of Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer and not more than three members. Where no Branch exists, nurses may join as individual members.
- Each Branch Executive Committee shall convene an Annual General Meeting of all members of the Branch each year before 30'th April.
- The central executive authority of the Guild shall be vested in a National Executive Committee which shall comprise the National President, the National Vice-President, the National Secretary, the National Treasurer, the National Social Secretary, the Editor of the Irish Nursing News and not more than three ordinary members.
- The National Executive Committee shall convene the Annual General Meeting of all members of the Guild each year before 30'th June and, subject to Article VII, may also convene an Extraordinary General Meeting when required.
- The supreme authority of the Guild shall rest in the Annual General Meeting of the association and all matters of policy shall be decided only by the Annual General Meeting of the Guild or by an Extraordinary General Meeting.
